Ene.National Energy Museum is the only national museum based on the “Park Model,” which is characterised by integrating, in the same landscape, industrial heritage, culture, and leisure.
This is formed by three important infrastructure projects: Ene.thermal, Ene.power plant, and Ene.forest. These three centres, along with the space that links them, have been converted into the Museum Park, a concept that goes beyond the classic model of a museum. This concept permits one to eliminate architectural barriers, thereby going beyond mere buildings in order to project the museum into the entire surrounding environment.
This project looks to transform a part of the city, taking advantage of existing resources of local heritage to achieve new uses and activities that nevertheless are part of a single larger area. As a part of this larger whole, Ene.National Energy Museum will be a catalyst for the existence of a national network of museum spaces related to energy and its history in the country.
